The S&P BSE Sensex dipped over 350 points to 38,132 levels, having earlier risen to 38,600 levels, and the Nifty50 index was hovering around 11,200-mark.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries slipped over 2.5 per cent durig the day while auto major Maruti was trading nearly 2 per cent lower at Rs 6,170.25 after the company reported a consolidated loss of Rs 268.3 crore for June quarter of FY21 (Q1FY21) as compared to profit of 1,376.8 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
The Nifty sectoral indices were trading mixed, with the Nifty IT index, down 1 per cent, leading the list of losers.
