Da Costa storms ahead by 11 points.
It was Antonio Felix Da Costa’s maiden win at his new team DS Techeetah, the double Formula E champions, and their first one of the year.
Previously Da Costa won in 2015 in Buenos Aires, and 2019 in Ad Diriyah.
Stewart #4 #4TheWin:Fantastic driving skill by @maxg_official, deserved the win but still a proud 2nd place.
Kayleigh:Evans gets DOTD for me. Absolutely rocketed through the field!
Zubair Moti:Driver of the day is without doubt Mitch Evans. An incredible drive from P24 to P6.
It was an impressive drive for Jean-Eric Vergne from P11 to P3, especially after getting in the car today feeling under the weather and losing out on track time this weekend.
And it’s no P2, but it’s still a double podium and a haul of points for the team.
And you can’t look past Mitch Evans who fought from from P24 to P6. The team have finally found some pace.

Here’s that final lap again…
Second placedMax Gunthersays: “I was fighting against the Techeetah cars, it was exciting we knew we could manage it with the energy and to make the move with two corners to go for P2 was a good feeling.
“It was impressive what [JEV] did, the recovery that he did during the race and we had the energy advantage compared to him and that’s what we used in the last stage of the race.”
Some more words from the race winner. He says: “I mean I had to play a brave card I had to let Max get super close there and I had to force him to use his energy and in the second attack mode. I was controlling Andre (Lotterer) and it worked out perfectly.
“We had a good plan in mind and amazing preparation and we do a lot of hard work and it pays off.
“For JEV – hats off he had a tough tough week, he had a hard day and he pulled a podium for the team so well done.”
Co-commentator Dario Franchitti speaks to Da Costa on the radio, the Portugese driver says: “Thank-you impressive day. Yo Dario what’s up mate – I had to play a strategy card in the middle of the race Gunther was being efficient behind me.
“Were back let’s go!”
“YESSSS LET’S GO BOYS LAST LAP.”
“Is it P2?”
Engineer:“P3 P3 well done.”
That was very close!
As Da Costa, Vergne and Gunther’s batteries dropped below 1% it was unclear who would actually take the race win since drivers must finish with above 0%.
Gunther overtook Vergne on the straight before the final corner, leaving the German to take P2 and the two-time world champion dropping to P3.
Who will take it with 2% battery remaining?!
The moment Vergne made it up to second. Great racing.
“He will fade away on the last lap.
He is fighting a lost battle, we will get him, mate.”
