COVID-19 July 20 highlights: Maharashtra reports 8,240 fresh COVID-19 cases

cases. This takes the state’s total tally to 3,18,695. While Maharashtra now hosts 1,31,334 active cases.

The state also discharged 5,460 patients, taking the recovery rate to 54.92 per cent. With 176 new deaths, the fatality rate now stands at 3.77 per cent. According to Maharashtra’s Public Health Department, 7,65,781 patients are under home quarantine and 45,434 people are in institutional quarantine.

Cases in Dharavi further dipped from Sunday’s tally of 36. The former hotspot reported 12 new cases on Monday. Meanwhile, Mahim and Dadar saw a spike after reporting 24 cases each.
